Quartz Guard PRO-9H is based on Si02 with a pencil hardness of 9H and a temperature rating up to 600°C. This new generation hybrid coating combines both organic and inorganic components resulting in a permanent scratch resistant super hydrophobic coating that leaves the Gelcoat or Paint with an incredible deep gloss finish that last for years.
Quartz Guard PRO-9H is designed to give unrivalled protection on a wide range of hard surfaces such as gelcoat, marine paints, stainless steel, aluminium and most hard plastics.
Once applied the coating is highly resistant against staining, chemical attack, bird droppings and black streaks. Dirt just washes off even the most stubborn exhaust staining can be removed with ease. Stainless steel will be protected for years eliminating corrosion and the need for periodic polishing.
To maintain the coating we recommend using Nano Wash every 3rd -4th washdown

Dull oxidized surfaces must be polished prior to the application
The surface must be thoroughly cleaned, dry and free of grease, silicon, wax or polish residue. To prepare the surface you can use Nanotech Pre-Clean, Isopropanol or Panel wipe. Minimum application temperature is 5°C, Maximum 25°C (do not use in direct sunlight). For metal, any corrosion spots must be removed prior to application. This product is solvent based so compatibility with the surface should always be tested.
Apply a small amount of product to an application pad and spread out as thinly as possible using (horizontal then vertical strokes) only coat an area of around 1mtr² at a time making sure that the surface is completely coated. Then remove excess coating immediately with a new soft microfiber cloth using light pressure only. Make sure any residue is removed or streaking may result. Discard the microfiber cloth after 30mins and replace with a new microfiber cloth.
Up to 3 coats can be applied for extra durability especially around the exhaust area’s. We recommend 2 coats for gelcoat
To apply multiple layers, wait for a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of 30 minutes between coats. A high layer thickness improves abrasion resistance and increase’s gloss level. Recommended layer thickness is between 600nm and 3µm.
Dust dry in around 5-15 minutes and can be exposed to water after around 4-6 hours. The complete formation of a layer hardness and chemical resistance is achieved after 5-7 days.
Coverage approx. 20m² per 100ml per coat, this can vary depending on the type of substrate.
